Managed operations · for AI-built software

Good vibes build software. They don't run it.

Keepstone is a software operating partnership. You shipped something real — and now it needs monitoring, backups, incident response, release discipline: the stuff that turns a working system into a resilient platform your business can depend on. That's us.

01 — Who we're for

Three conversations we have every week.

If one of these sounds a bit like you, the next step is the same: a free assessment of your solution, and a plan to get it professionally hardened and managed.

A / 03

"I started using a prototype I built in Lovable, Bolt, or Replit — and now we depend on it."

It works. It's fragile. You'd rather not become a software company to keep it running.

B / 03

"Someone on our team built something critical with Claude Code, and now no one else knows how it works or how to run it."

A partner, staff member, or contractor built it. Now it's institutional risk. Turn it into an institutional asset.

C / 03
The AI-leverage play

"I know AI can automate a chunk of my business — or unlock revenue I'm leaving on the table. I just don't know how to build it."

You know the workflow, the risk, or the opportunity. You don't want to hire a dev, manage a freelancer, or learn to build.

02 — The gap we fill

Custom software is now cheap and easy to build — but hard and risky to operate.

  • Freelancers build but don't operate.
  • Employees (especially leaders) know the business but shouldn't be running tech support.
  • Enterprise consultancies are the wrong scale and the wrong price.
  • Traditional MSPs have the right instinct but the wrong tech.
  • Dev shops have the wrong business model.

Keepstone is the piece between "built" and "operated." Same modern tools your team used to build it. The discipline to keep it running.

03 — What you get

Our value proposition, distilled.

I / IV
I · Accountable

We own operations. Contractually.

SLAs in writing. Cyber and E&O insurance. Trained professionals keeping your software running — and someone real to hold responsible when they don't.

II / IV
II · AI-native

Agents do the work. Operators make the calls.

We operate with an agent-native framework — subagents, skills, and tooling built for the stack your team uses. It's how we deliver enterprise-grade ops at SMB price points.

III / IV
III · Transparent

Fixed prices. Visible margin.

You know what you pay, what we do, and roughly where our profit comes from. We make money by being efficient, not by being opaque.

IV / IV
IV · Evolving

Your curiosity is our mandate.

The same restlessness that pulled you to AI pulls us to get better every month. We use it to sharpen our craft, and then to sharpen your business in turn.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Our freelance developer disappeared, and our business relies on the tool they built. Can you take it over?

Yes — this is one of the most common situations we step into. We start with a Free Assessment of the codebase and infrastructure, then Harden the system (source control, monitoring, deploy discipline, the operational scaffolding the original build skipped) so it stops being a risk to the business. From there it moves into ongoing Software Ops, where we keep it running. Most engagements like this complete the Harden phase in 30 days.

Do we need to hire a full-time engineer to manage our custom internal apps?

No, and honestly we’d argue you shouldn’t. Hiring one engineer to operate one custom system is overpriced for the work that actually needs doing, and mismatched to the variety of disciplines real software operations require — monitoring, incident response, releases, documentation, security, continuity. Keepstone delivers all of that as a service. Software Ops tiers start at $500/month for a simple system and go up to $9,500+/month for mission-critical platforms.

We built a working tool using AI, but we don’t know how to maintain it safely. Can you help?

Yes — this is a big part of what we do. AI-built tools (Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Claude Code) get you to a working system fast, but they don’t ship the operational scaffolding around it. We Assess what you’ve got, Harden it to a state that can be reliably operated, and then run it for you under Software Ops. The path from "working prototype" to "system the business runs on responsibly" is well-traveled at this point.

How does Keepstone differ from a traditional dev agency or an IT provider?

Traditional MSPs are great at the corporate IT estate — laptops, networks, email, the printer that mysteriously stopped working — but they aren’t equipped to operate a custom application, and the good ones say so when you ask them. Development agencies build well, but their economics push them toward the next project, not the long arc of running yours. Keepstone sits between the two. We operate the custom software your business depends on, the way an enterprise operations team would, sized and priced for a small business.

What is the first step to see if you can help us?

A Free Assessment. We point our AI tools at your codebase, infrastructure, and any documentation you have, then a senior software architect reviews what they found and writes a plain-English report. You’ll walk out with one of four answers: supportable now, supportable after Hardening, candidate for a rebuild, or not a fit. The roadmap is yours either way — you’re under no obligation to engage us to execute it.

Next step

Two ways to start.

Free assessment if you have something running. Discovery ($3k, credited) if you need one built. Either way, you walk out with a real answer.
